Daniel Topolski Daniel Topolski is a Successful Rowing Coach, Author and Motivational speaker The story has gone down in the history of British sport as one of the greatest underdog victories of all time, when Oxford - despite the walk out of five American Internationals just six weeks before the event - went on to beat Cambridge by four boat lengths. The book 'True Blue' which won 'Sport Book of the Year' in 1990 A double Rowing Blue himself, Daniel's experience of turning the tides in the face of adversity has given him the invaluable insight to motivate and inspire disparate personalities - some with egos larger than their abilities - to pull together as a team. It's just such expertise, which makes his talks so relevant to business people in their own fields of endeavour The type of encouragement, help and support he can give a team, also inspires his business audiences to put clear water between themselves and the competition. Daniel Topolski has also pursued a successful career in media. His book 'True Blue' was made into the feature film shown for the Royal Command Performance in 1996. An experienced traveller, his BBC radio series 'Topolski's Travels' won the 1993 Travelex Radio award. At the 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2004 Athens Olympics he was the BBC's commentator covering the hotly contested rowing events. Daniel will be involved with the BBC Commentary team again in Beijing this year and continues as Consultant to Oxford Boat Race Squad. testimonials "We've heard Daniel talk on a whole range of topics and each time something has stuck permanently in the memory. Even when you're in a large auditorium, Daniel seems to be talking to you personally." - James Elwin, Senior Lecturer in Travel and Tourism, Oxford Brookes University "We found his analogies between rowing and business and his tale of guts and determination to succeed against all odds a powerful inspirational tool." - Charles Davies, CEO, Norwich Holdings SA Ltd "To a group of cynics Daniel Topolski was like a breath of fresh air. He made the comparisons between business and sport become real to all of our delegates and they left with a feeling that integrity and good sportsmanship are essential in not only one's sporting life but also in business life." - Michael Ness, President, Trafalgar Management Services Ltd. "Daniel was excellent and we`ve had good feedback from the audience" - Heinz, June 2008
